2. TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Indoor Shootouts are held at Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club, 6000 Heisley Rd, Mentor, OH 44060. Cost is $25 per person.
Outdoor Shootouts are held at Mentor Civic Center Park, 8600 Munson Rd, Mentor, OH 44060. Cost is $20 per person.
For both Indoor and Outdoor Shootouts, cost includes tournament, medals for top 3 teams in each division, and pizza at end of the event. Events run approximately 3 hours. Teams will play a game against each other team in their skill division, and divisions will normally max out at 10 teams.
To register, e-mail you and your partner's names and e-mail addresses, along with desired division (4.5/5.0, 4.0, 3.5A, or 3.5B) to [email protected]. (Note that 3.5A division is a normal 3.5 division, the 3.5B division is closer to a traditional 3.0 division). We will accept registration of full teams on a first-come, first-served basis. We will e-mail back with confirmation if there is room. We also place teams on a wait list if a division is currently full.
Don't get shut out - these events often fill up and we have to turn people away!

MARCH SHOOTOUT (any type team accepted) - Sunday, March 20th, 12:00 noon. We have two spots remaining in the 4.0 division. The 4.5/5.0, 3.5A and 3.5B divisions are currently FULL.
APRIL MXD SHOOTOUT (Mixed Doubles only) - Sunday, April 24th, 12:00 noon. Registration is OPEN.

JULY SHOOTOUT (any type team accepted) - Saturday, July 9th, 11:00 am. Registration will open May 14.
AUGUST MXD SHOOTOUT (Mixed Doubles only) - Saturday, August 13th, 11:00 am. Registration will open June 11.
SEPTEMBER SHOOTOUT (any type team accepted) - Saturday, September 10th, 11:00 am. Registration will open July 9.
OCTOBER MXD SHOOTOUT (Mixed Doubles only) - Saturday, October 1st, 11:00 am. Registration will open August 13.
3. INDOOR PLAY (Pickleball World)

Pickleball World is located at the back of Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club, 6000 Heisley Rd, Mentor, OH 44060. Pickleball World has 4 dedicated Pickleball courts. Second session of the Indoor season will run through April 15th.
There is OPEN PLAY on Saturdays from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Players/groups will rotate onto courts. You can participate as a single, but it is even better if you have a group of 4 if you want to play together.
Finally, the City of Mentor has announced the purchase of Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club, effective December 31, 2021, with the intention to transition to a new Mentor Civic Recreation Center. Attached is a link to some Frequently Asked Questions.
Most notably, there will be no change in operation to the Pickleball program or facilities, at least through April 30. All programs will remain the same, and all punch cards will be honored through April 30.
We will pass any further information on as we receive it.

4. OUTDOOR PLAY
Outdoor play is available at Mentor Civic Center Park, 8600 Munson Rd, Mentor, OH 44060. Courts are located behind the outdoor pools.
Courts are available to groups on a first-come, first-served basis from sunrise until night time. Beginning around April 15th, lights will be turned on each night until about 11:00 pm. We do not have organized open play, meaning there is no requirement for players to rotate off/on the courts. Having said that, most Pickleball players are accommodating, and will usually allow players of similar ability to join their group for a game or two. Long-term, it makes sense to find a regular group of people with similar ability to play with.
5. OUTDOOR LEAGUES
We are currently taking sign-ups for Session 1 (May-June) of the following leagues to be held outdoors at Mentor Civic Center Park. Those who participate in Session 1 will have priority for Session 2 (July-Aug) and Session 3 (Sept-Oct).
Each week, league participants will play 6 games which will take approximately 1-1/2 hours. Cost is $25 per league each session.

*** Also, as an FYI, we (Brian Murphy, Mike Murphy, and Ken Werner) are NOT involved with a tournament being held in Mentor the weekend of May 6-8. It is being run by an out-of-town organization. We also feel with the high cost ($100 per person for one event, $130 per person for two events), no indoor backup plan in case of rain, and no refunds if rained out, we cannot actively support this event.
