Amazed is an understatement

Thank you so much to this large group that showed up and showed out for Rose. Despite half of the time being spent in a tornado safe area, these kids were eager to back on the mats to learn, grow, and help a girl they don’t even know.

I also want to thank all of the families who stayed and watched, dropped their kid(s) off, and/or allowed their child to come up and do this clinic. With everyone there, there was 62 people in total..AMAZING

The end off this clinic, we were reminded of our reason why. Our reason why we do the things we do. Why we go to wrestling, why we go to school, why we get up in the morning. Such an amazing group of kids, coaches, and families.

Yesterday we had our 2nd annual family-friend-whoever practice and boy oh boy did our athletes show up and show out.

We had parents, friends, significant others, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and so much more. They all came out, all tried wrestling, and all had so much fun doing it. There were smiles and laughter the entire time.

Loved seeing the wrestling room so filled and loved seeing the athletes so happy and excited to show the ones they love the most, the sport they love the most.

Best part, our picnic was the best. Filled with so much delicious food and a little game of wiffle ball.

It was a great summer, our athletes truly worked so hard this summer. Can’t wait for this up coming winter season and next summer.

To all of the guests who came, thank you so much!!! Hope to see some of you guys on the mats this upcoming season👀!!!

To our athletes, thank you for your hard work and dedication you’ve put in this entire summer. Have a great first day of school next week!!!📚✏️🏫

This Thursday, the 13th will be our 2nd annual family-friend-whoever practice!

This is the opportunity that our athletes get to show those they care and love the most about the sport they love so much. Last year we’ve had moms, dads, friends, cousins, and siblings come. They all had smiling faces the entire time.

This year, our athletes wanted to have a little picnic afterwards so please bring something if you can! Drinks, chips, desserts, sides, whatever is feasible!

It will be from 6:00-7:30 at Mentor High School

Wrestling Clinic for a Cause!!!

Help Coach Erika raise money for a race called the 24in24. The 24in24 helps WOW (Workshop of Wishes) kids and their families. Rose is an amazing little human who has already been through so much at so young.

Coach Erika will be running 1 mile every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours straight.

Going to this clinic can be your way of helping a child who is battling life-threatening illness(es).
The price of the clinic is donation based. You can either use the QR code that sends you to Erika’s donation page or pay at the door (cash is cool too).
To make it clear, Coach Erika does NOT get any of the donations.

Whether you donate or not, showing up still shows a lot!!!

This clinic is for ANYBODY. Any age, skill, gender, whoever. Let’s fill up these mats for Rose!

Wrestlers turned runners???

Two of our girls joined Coach Erika in the Johnycake 5 miler and 5k.

Averi did the 5k with her mom and pushed each other the entire time!

Kennedi signed herself up for the big 5 miler with Coach Erika. The longest she’s ran and she even placed 4th in her gender/age group! 1 place shy of earning another award.

These girls have showed up for every practice and are eager to get better in everything that they do! Congrats girls!

It is with sadness that one of our beloved coaches has passed way.

Coach Starkey was a tremendous help to this team. He would come in on his own time and help ANYBODY who walked in that room. He came to our competitions and did not hesitate to be there for our girls.

With that being said, practices are going to be on hold for the next couple of weeks. Our athletes, coaches, and families need time to heal. A notification will be sent about the resumption of practices.

For now, keep your heads up.

What a big day yesterday at the Elyria 16U/Junior qualifier and 14U and under States!!!

We had 3 girls compete and they showed up and showed out!

Congrats to:

Bella in 16U at 145lbs for placing 5th! She had a tough bracket but pushed hard. Even bigger congrats on competing in your first freestyle competition as well!

Rylee in 16U at 115lbs for placing 2nd! She also had a tough bracket and battled with intensity! Beating a HS state placer when still in 8th grade!

Aubrey in 10U at 62lbs for placing 3rd! For Aubrey, unfortunately her season ends shorter and wrestled her last freestyle competition (States). She wrestled hard and got some nice hot dogs and medals to show it off!

Bella and Rylee are ready for States in a couple of weeks to see if they can punch their ticket to Fargo!

Maddy Beaumier in Junior at 120lbs for placing 2nd! She’ll be ready to join Rylee and Bella at states in a couple of weekends to see if she can punch her ticket to Fargo!

Natalie Beaumier in 14U at 125lbs for placing 4th! She had to bumped up a weight class due to lack of girls but that did not stop her from going out and wrestling hard!

Rylee Ashba in 16U at 115lbs for placing 2nd! Her first freestyle competition and she came out ready to wrestle!
