Managers,
With the rising summer temperatures, we want to make sure all of our players stay cool, safe, and hydrated during games.
Please review the following hot weather tips with your players:
๐น Hydrate constantly โ Drink water before-during-after the game (before they get on and after they get off the field) and bring plenty with you. Electrolyte (Gatorade) drinks are helpful, too!
๐น Use shade & cool tools โ Bring cooling towels or spray bottles and take advantage of shady areas whenever possible.
๐น Take a break โ If needed during an inning (especially for pitcher & catchers) stop for a quick water break - talk about this with ump during Manager's Meeting before game
๐น Know the signs of heat illness โ Watch for signs of heat-related issues (dizziness, confusion) - Speak up if you feel off. (Rest/bench player in the shade if they seem off)
Letโs work together to keep everyone safe, strong, and having fun! ๐ฅ๐ช
We are playing in the evening as the sun is going down - and not in the middle of the day - which is good
Stay cool out there!
Please let parents know to bring lots of water/Gatorade.
Also, bring a couple of extra waters, just in case someone forgets!
Thank you!
