VENDOR HIGHLIGHT: Beth Lynne Studio
Beth Lynne Studio has been illustrating stamp designs for rattlesnake Island in Lake Erie since 2007, in 2025 the theme was birds of the island.
She has a shop located in Fairport Harbor, where she is an illustrator, pet portrait artist, and custom apparel designer. She will be selling custom apparel featuring her exclusive designs as well as bird and nature themed art prints, tote bags, tea towels, mugs, hats and other decor!

Fall warblers can be tricky to identify in fall with their more muted plumage. This talk will focus on fall warblers and learning tips to help with identification in the fall months.

Join Gary S. Gerrone for his talk “How to Find an Owl” on Sunday September 20. Everyone seems to love owls…. but finding them is challenging. Further, looking for the owl itself may not be the best approach. So, how do you find an owl? This program will share strategies that will allow you to greatly improve your ability to find and enjoy owls. Further, it will share the natural history of Ohio’s owl species, including ID, habitat, roosting preferences, seasonality, and sounds. It will also cover how to best treat a sighting with the owl’s best interest in mind.

Explore the wild western end of Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve on your own, open house style, to view the wide-open skies, wet meadow habitat, and edges of the marsh from a utility access road vantage point, searching for migrating birds and more during the Special Access Behind Locked Gates. You never know what you may see!

Festival registration is not required to attend the Special Access Behind Locked Gates on Saturday September 19. This is a great way to add more birding during your festival experience or a great way to experience the festival if you couldn’t make any of the walks!

🐦September 19 - 12 pm - 3 pm - Meet at the gate at Forest Road and Woodridge Lane.
