Strength training goes far beyond big muscles! Let’s touch on each benefit mentioned above.
1. You’ve probably heard about “body recomposition” or increasing the amount of muscle you have & decreasing the amount of fat you have. The best way to do this is through strength training!
2. Your resting metabolic rate is the amount of calories you burn at rest, the more muscle your body has, the more calories your body will burn in this state.
3. Strength is not just squatting + deadlifts 200+lbs, although, its very empowering when you adequately achieve this. Strength training stabilizes your body to prevent injury & create longevity, it gets you ready for those big lifts, & improves the speed behind your strength where applicable such as for a boxer needing to hit hard & fast.
