Congratulations to Sarah Harvey from Ishpeming/Negaunee Bowling Team for earning the title of this years MHSAA USBC Girls Single Champion!

The Menominee girls both battled through some ups of downs today while both putting on impressive performances.

Freshman Madyson Curtice made the first cut and finished in 21st only being 41 pins from the match play cut line to 16. To think just two weeks ago she was throwing a backup ball!

Senior Melanie Franke made the first cut and qualified 13th for match plays where she lost to the 4th seed in the first round of match plays by 25 pins. There was only 3 scores higher than hers in the round and she was matched up against one of them.

I was just informed that not everyone got my message about practice being canceled today that was sent out first thing this morning. This was out of my control as on my end the messages all showed as sent and even had a member message back. I am currently sitting on hold with cellcom to figure out what happened as its unacceptable to me to have messages lost in space. I apologize for the confusion and hope those who still went to the bowling alley bowled a couple games and it wasn't a wasted trip.

This week's meet is at River Rock Lanes and Banquet Center in Ishpeming, MI and Bowlers need to be there by NOON CST. It is roughly 130 to 140 miles one direction depending on which route you take. They are calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow from Menominee to Ishpeming so plan accordingly.

**Reminder if you take the route through Iron Mountain M95 tends to get bad

**If your going through Rapid River 41 tends to have a bad stretch of road from the Munising turn off to Cty Rd 480.

We are looking for item donations for bucket raffles to take place during our home meet. If there is any local businesses or Individuals that would like to make a donation please message the page, a team member or get a hold of Coach Bob Mulhern.

We are a self funded sport and the donations will help generate the revenue needed for our conference dues, practice fees, regional fees, hotel expenses for regionals and jerseys. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Our home meet is Saturday January 3rd, 2026 at the Dome Lanes in Marinette, WI. Starting time of 9:00 a.m local time.

Announcement for Parents on the 2025/26 Bowling season:

The Menominee High School Bowling Team is self funded. Being self funded means we must fundraise our own operating expenses. Those expenses are Bowling Jeserys, Conference fees to cover the costs of meets, traveling expenses for Regionals and States (if we qualify) and a few miscellaneous charges. We also have to self transport to meets. We will be having a Coach and Parents meeting to discuss fundraising, transportation and needed volunteers on Tuesday 11/25 at 4:00pm CST at the Domes Lanes. I will be sending notices of the meeting out with the bowlers after this Tuesdays practice.

Thank You

Bobby Mulhern
