Training is on Monday and Wednesday evenings in Menlo Park, California ar the Arrillaga Recreation Center (ARC). ARC is easily accessible with an abundance of parking and conveniently located near Stanford University, downtown Palo Alto, downtown Menlo Park and a one (1) minute walk from the CalTrain station, located on the mid peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area. day afternoons on a scheduled basis. Silicon Valley Seiwakai - Gojuryu Karate-do 剛柔流 空手道 誠和会 is a traditional Kenkyukai 武術研究会 club also known as "Bay Area Gōjūryū Karate,". Club participants are not required to join any affiliated group or associations to train or grade within the club. SEIWAKAI KARATE SILICON VALLEY (SKSV) is a member of the JKF GŌJŪKAI (誠和会空手ケイ素谷所属道場全日本空手道連盟剛柔会) and is dedicated to supporting our art to the community since 1971 in Menlo Park expanding to Palo Alto in 1972 by Cornell Watson, Chuck Kennedy and Gosei Yamaguchi, Sunnyvale in 1974 and San Jose in 1981. Students will enjoy the opportunity to travel for competition and training nation-wide and abroad including Japan, Brazil, Okinawa, Hawaii, New York, Australia, Spain, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and other locations with our extensive network of sister Clubs & Dojo in cooperation with premier world organizations. Service areas include San Jose (Japantown), Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, Mountain View, Los Altos, Woodside, Atherton, Belmont, San Carlos, Sunnyvale and San Carlos.
