Hockey Time

Hockey Time Our mission is to help boys and girls grow in skill and character on and off the ice as they enjoy the wonderful game of ice hockey.

MISSION:
Our mission is to help boys and girls grow in both skills and character on and off the ice as they enjoy the wonderful game of hockey. Beginning with the foundational expertise of skating, we will expand into the other integral skills needed to excel in ice hockey. We will also have fun along the way. We strive to balance strong development while building a love of the game. Additionally, an essential part of any team is the chemistry. By emphasizing an encouraging, respectful environment of teammates, coaches, self, staff, and facilities, we hope these vital characteristics become lifelong virtues for Hockey Time participants. OUR STORY:
After 20 years in the corporate world, many exciting athletic experiences, and building a wonderful family, it was time for soul-searching. With three young sons, two of which play hockey and homeschool, I wanted to integrate my career, passions, and family. In early 2024, my husband Charlie had mentioned starting a hockey program for homeschoolers since homeschooling enables so much flexibility. This would be an excellent avenue for skill development, exercise, and fun. At first, I thought it was just a nice idea but unrealistic. It takes a large effort to organize a hockey program in the midst of an already hectic life. The more we thought it through, however, the more we felt the need to take this leap of faith. The idea of a hockey program for homeschoolers quickly turned from a magical thought into reality. While this is unfolding, we trust it will work out for the best, and we look forward to sharing our excitement with all of you. While we are starting “small” with Mites and Squirts, we desire to grow this program as interest demands. We appreciate you taking this journey with us, and look forward to what lies ahead.
