We can be faced with a task and feel an incredible amount of resistance.⁣
⁣
When we feel resistance, it's almost impossible to do the task.⁣
⁣
Resistance is an overarching feeling that may includes disbelief, disgust, anger, guilt, sadness, resentment, fear, conflict, opposition, irritation, boredom, disdain, shame or defiance, to name a few.⁣
⁣
𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬.⁣

As long as we keep having those thoughts, we'll have resistance.⁣

Wow! The Universe seriously aligned AGAIN!

This week the Universe aligned to give me the knowledge I didn't know I needed...for a purpose I didn't know was going to be presented to me.

Last week I was one of the speakers in the AI-Driven Business Summit. I had the privilege of attending many of the sessions and learning how Business Owners were using AI to make their businesses go faster.

1. I already knew how to use AI.

2. I learned how to make custom AI's. The custom AI's are based on our own intellectual property, frameworks and workflows. Basically, instead of using 20 prompts individually to complete workflow tasks, AI already knows exactly what to do and the desired format of the output. The end user will get a few prompts, and AI does the rest.

3. I learned about AI Agents. An AI Agent can interact between your systems and do things for you. It will take the output from the custom AI's and put it into systems, with all the data going in exactly the right places.

As business owners, we can make custom AIs and AI Agents for ourselves. We can also make them as products to sell to other businesses and individuals.

I immediately started experimenting with custom AIs to streamline some complex workflows to get some routine tasks cut down from 1 week to just an hour. I still have a few kinks to work out, but once I do...I'll start experimenting with an AI agent next.

I can absolutely see how I can create the custom AIs and AI Agents as products.

Then the Universe connected me with a business that needs their LIMS software system setup. For anyone that doesn't know, LIMS stands for Laboratory Information Management system. It's used by many BioTech companies and Hospitals.

There are many software companies that make LIMS software.

This particular BioTech company chose a LIMS system that is highly innovative. It's one that breaks the traditional mode of databases (from tables to a dynamic mind map) plus it incorporates AI.

I was curious how it uses AI. I was a LIMS specialist for over 10 years in BioTech. I was very familiar with the old database configurations and manual entry processes to update Master Data.

How does this new LIMS use AI?

Can you see it coming??? Based on what I learned in the summit?

It uses Custom AI and AI Agents!!!

Whoa!

Their main product is the software. it needs to be configured fast.

Heartbreaking...it didn't have to end that way.

That's what I thought as I heard a business owner share that she was on her 3rd business. She created two businesses previously. They were a smashing success, bringing in $5M in Revenue each.

Unfortunately, her first business became too big to handle. The processes and systems were not in place. She couldn't see and solve the inefficiencies. She decided to sell the business.

She started over. Again, she created & grew a business to $5M in Revenue. Again, it became too big to handle. She sold that one too.

Now she's starting her 3rd business from scratch.

I can't imagine walking away from a successful business you created. Most people walk away if the business ISN'T doing well. Not when it IS doing well.

That's the importance of Systems & Processes. They keep a business manageable no matter how big it grows.

Systems & Processes can always be streamlined. There's always an easier, faster way of doing things. But first, you have to be able to see where the waste is....cue System Integration & Process Maps.

It's so much easier to create the systems and processes while the company is smaller. Get the basics done. Then you only have a little bit more to document and put in place as your business grows.

Extra benefit - These maps can double as training materials when you're ready to hire or outsource. And, the process maps help you see EXACTLY what can be delegated.

Part of why you feel so great, is that you are in the dark about the learning curve. (Some may say you're in denial. But, I think you are just not aware yet.)⁣

Then you get into the new thing...and it's hard. It's not easy to figure out. The anxiety and fear set in. You may even consider cancelling your purchase.⁣

But, you really want to use this software. So you stare at it some more. Click around a bit and get discouraged.⁣
⁣
Depression sets in. You are now completely aware of how much you don't know. And you have looming deadlines. ⁣

You check out YouTube. You're grateful for tutorials, but many drag on for way too long. Or they bounce around and confuse you even more.⁣

I Make SOPs - Standard Operating Procedures.⁣
⁣
I have Google Folders setup with each of the Platforms' names.⁣
⁣
For each Workflow, I'll have 1 or more SOPs. The SOPs have the exact steps, in the most efficient sequence. I include screenshots.⁣
⁣
How do I get screenshots if I don't use the software in my business? I use YouTube videos, blogs, and training programs. My screenshots may come from more than one source so I get the order correct.⁣
⁣
That's the Business Process coach in me. Know the process steps. Document the process steps.⁣
That's how I can help my clients do things FAST in their business.
⁣
Each SOP starts a little messy. That's OK. Many of the presenters are not skilled in giving exact step by step instructions. They may go too fast and skip over important Clicks. Or they start making mistakes, go back to previous steps to try to fix things...and create a training mess. Ick. ⁣
⁣
I want a "Clean Copy" of the exact, correct steps. I'll go hunting for extra training to collect the information, if needed.⁣
⁣

1. By writing SOPs, the details embed in my memory.⁣

2. By referencing the SOPs, I quickly refresh my memory.⁣

Could I just create video training lessons? Yes, and sometimes I do. But watching training videos takes more time than quickly skimming an SOP to find the instructions and screenshots you need.⁣
