Friends and Coaches,

On behalf of the CMBSC we want to thank you for your support of the organization and attendance last night for our Conversation with Al Leiter. As expected, Al was a tremendous guest offering insight and candid thoughts about all things baseball. Your participation through questions and thoughtful remarks made it a memorable night for all.

Your generosity contributed to the Club raising over $2,000 that will be invested in CMBSC facilities to the benefits of the kids.

On Saturday the CMBSC attended the Somerset Patriots game where they got to walk the field representing our Patriots! It was a great game and a close one but the Patriots prevailed 5-3! Thanks to Peter Bovee for throwing out the first pitch! We appreciate everyone’s support and hope to see you all again next year!! Fireworks are always a great way to end the night and the summer!

CMBSC had a tremendous start to our Diamond Stars season yesterday — and what a day it was!

Diamond Stars is our cherished summer baseball league dedicated to providing opportunities for children with special needs to experience the joy of the game. Yesterday’s kickoff at Black River Field brought our community together in the best way possible. Our CMBSC players partnered up with the incredible athletes from the Rockaway Challengers for a morning of friendship, teamwork, and baseball fun.

A huge thank you to Peter Saharko for his leadership in making this special program happen — not just yesterday, but throughout the month of July. The smiles, high-fives, and shared laughter were unforgettable, and we’re proud to be part of a league that embraces inclusion and connection through sport.

Join us for our weekly Diamond Stars sessions, every Saturday in July from 9:00–10:00 a.m. at Black River Field. Players and parents from our league are welcome and encouraged to come out and support these amazing athletes.

Let’s keep the magic going all summer long! ⚾✨

Spring is in the air and our baseball and softball season is just about a month away. But we need your help!

We are short a few coaches. Please consider volunteering your time as a head coach, and if you already signed up as an assistant coach, please consider taking the head coach role:

Softball Kinder - 1 more head coach

Softball Majors - 1 more head coach

Baseball Tball - 2 more head coaches

Baseball AA - 2 more head coaches

Baseball AAA - 4 more head coaches

Baseball Majors - 1 more head coach

Babe Ruth - would like to form 2 teams, therefore 1 more head coach needed

Reach out with any questions about how to become a coach or change your current registration! There’s nothing more rewarding than a beautiful spring night teaching your child and his or her friends this wonderful game!

Our league continues to grow and get stronger, but we need your help to maintain that momentum.

We have grown from 400 to over 700 players.

We have enhanced our fields, upgraded uniforms, and expanded popular events such as Opening Day and Championship Saturday.

We have added meaningful new programs like Sandlot and Diamond Stars.

We began a massive field improvement program last year with the major renovations to Wysong Field. These upgrades included new conditioned clay, fresh grass, field grading, irrigation, and a brand-new scoreboard.

Next on our list? Major improvements to the baseball and softball fieldsat Chubb and to Chester Gazebo Field.

But to keep this momentum, we need your help.
