Sagebrush Archery Supply An archery supply shop

06/02/2022

Well, hello everybody!
I got into archery many years ago to prove to several naysayers that an amputee could still do everything I ever did before losing my leg. I started in the compound bow world, but after successfully harvesting a very respectable buck my first time out, I decided it wasn't much of a challenge. So an acquaintance who had an Archery shop, goaded me into buying a recurve and going on an exotic sheep hunt. Let's just say that I was hooked and addicted. I met some really great guys that weekend and became a fulltime Archery ju**ie. I eventually started to build my own arrows. Wood, Carbon, and Aluminum. I also build my own strings and have sold them online all over the world. I have shot some of the other string builders strings and I just prefer the performance of my own strings. In late 2020, my now wife and I decided we have had enough of the state of California and moved to Arizona. We absolutely loved most everything about Arizona, the hunting the views, the people, almost everything. But the cost of living in Arizona is astronomical!!!!
The state is out of its mind on the cost of housing. So we have looked to Arkansas and as of July first, if everything goes as planned with the new purchase, we will be moving the business to Cherry Hill, Arkansas. I want to let my longtime customers and friends know that I will still be able to provide the same quality of service and I hope you all will understand and support our decision to move to the absolutely beautiful new location. I hope you wish us luck on our new endeavor. We are very excited for this new chapter in our lives. Going to be the same number, just a new location!
God Bless you all!

Good afternoon everyone!
Robert here from Sagebrush Archery Supply in Queen Creek. Just thought I would catch you all up, since I'm not the greatest at Facebook responses.
So it's been an interesting year. I married my best friend Kelly and she and I have done some traveling. For the honeymoon we went on a road trip. Saw her dear friend Carly and her husband Jason. Two of the coolest people on the planet. Then went to Arkansas to visit my brother and his family. Stayed a few days, then moved on to Nashville. Stayed a couple of days and had a great time visiting all the coolest venues. Definitely go check out Ole Reds. Blake Shelton's restaurant and music venue.
Then we cruised down to New Orleans. After wanting to go my whole life, was extremely disappointed. We did enjoy the Swamp tour and some of the historical parts. But overall the experience was terrible. I will explain more later in this message. Then we headed out for Texas to hunt hogs on the Independence Ranch. If you are wanting to kill a hog with 100% success, then this is your place. Literally, it wasn't hunting, so much as the hogs are running all over the place. Then after 3 days, we headed for home. On the way home Kelly started feeling sick. When we got home, I had about 3 days to process all the pigs we shot, before the curse of New Orleans hit me. Yes, we came home with Covid. Kelly was able to stay home and recover. Me, on the other hand, was admitted for a 5 day stay and was not sure if I was going to make it. After I got out, I had literally no strength. Luckily, I'm a tough bu**er and recovered to full strength in about a month. We are lucky that we have an amazing God who took care of me. That was pretty much our April through June. November came around and we took a trip to Arkansas again to visit for Thanksgiving. My brother wasn't doing to good with his back, but his neighbor and our new friend Jeff took us whitetail hunting. Let me tell you, it was a very successful hunt and once again, we were blessed with some beautiful whitetail bucks. Kelly was again successful by harvesting a gorgeous buck. One shot and done!
Then I was successful in drawing a javelina tag for Unit 33, 37a, 37b. I scouted my butt off and finally found a herd 2 days before season opened. On the 4th of January, I put a ✔ mark on my bucket list. Javelina have been a dream of mine since I was 10 and saw a mounted one in Holdens Archery shop. I hope everyone has had a decent year and I hope we all survive this next year. Hope to hear from you all soon here at Sagebrush Archery Supply.

These two guys just won their division at the Cougar Mountain Father's Day shoot. Just have to post them to my page, because the young man in plaid shirt is my best friend Steve Diesburg and the bearded fella is his son Kevin. These two are a lot of fun to shoot with and are both great shooters. Steve was shooting a bow of his own build. I've shot it and I will tell you it shoots so smooth. If interested, let me know as we both build bows.

My good friend Steve Diesburg at the Fresno Shoot. He was shooting his own personally built longbow with wood arrows. I can tell you that I have shot that bow and it's incredibly smooth.

Made some blue and purple fletched 400 spine arrows today. Going to be keeping these for myself for my 58lb. Tim Miegs Duo-Flex bow. Does anyone else color code your arrows for your specific bows?
For me it makes it easier to grab the correct arrows for a bows specific weight.

Hey everyone, it's been a couple of months now and we finally have a location and we are up and running. Our new location is in Queen Creek , Arizona. Hoping to get everyone we have dealt with in the past year to contact me and make a few orders. Thank you for your patience while we relocated from California. Looking forward to this next year and hoping to continue to thrive in my passion for Archery. Also, we have a location that we can shoot on site. So I will be offering lessons to anyone who wants to learn Archery.
Happy New Year and I hope to hear from you all soon.

An archery supply shop

So today, I went to many shops in the area and am sad to report that there is very few Trad bow people in this area. Apparently compound bows dominate the landscape here in Arizona. Guess I will just have to show these training wheel guys that we both belong here.

So to let everyone know, I AM NOT OUT OF BUSINESS OR GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!
Instead, I am flourishing and building and shipping strings and arrows as fast as I can. But I am going to shutdown temporarily at the end of September, to move my business to Arizona. I know this may come as a shock to many of my archery friends, but Kelly and I have been looking for a fresh start in a better state for a few years. I hope everyone who has helped support my dream of owning this business and spreading my love for the sport of archery will stay with me and continue to support this dream. I want to thank you all and be patient. Great things are in the works and I hope to get up and running again soon in Arizona. If you need anything in the interim, don't hesitate to call me and I will do my best to serve you all. 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯

I built some Patriot Missiles for my girlfriend today. She asked for Red, White and Blue arrows to match her bowstring. These will hopefully be blood red next weekend, when she joins me deer hunting.

Anyone interested in custom bowstrings or arrows for your trad bows, message me and I can get you set up with some beautiful strings. I add puffball silencers free of charge.
