⚽ Boys Soccer: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM | Cardinal Stadium
🏐 Volleyball: 9:00–11:00 AM | Cardinal Dome
🏃 Cross Country: 9:00–11:00 AM | Cardinal Stadium

All student-athletes must have a current physical on file in order to participate. Come ready to compete, work hard, and represent Melvindale! Good luck to all of our Cardinals!

Fall sports tryouts begin Monday, and we are excited to welcome our student athletes back! This is your opportunity to challenge yourself, develop new skills, and make the most of your high school experience. Success is not built only in the classroom. Being part of a team teaches discipline, commitment, resilience, leadership, and accountability. The habits you build through sports will help you succeed in school, your career, and life.

Our coaches are ready to invest in you and help you reach your potential. Come prepared to work hard, compete, learn, and grow. Bring a positive attitude, give your best effort, and take advantage of every opportunity in front of you.

Reminder: A current sports physical is required to participate. If you do not already have a physical on file, you may bring a completed physical with you on the first day of tryouts. ​

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Mr. Anheuser.

Mr. Anheuser dedicated many years to Melvindale High School as a respected Social Studies teacher before serving our district as the District Safety Coordinator. His commitment to our students, staff, and school community left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

On behalf of Melvindale Athletics, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Please keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Mr. Anheuser.
