Battle for the Paddle! A school trap shooting event pitting a few teams from the North and a few from the South against each other to see who can win the paddle for a year. Great event and Good luck MM shooters! Safe travels to all that are heading to Camp Douglas Sportsman’s Club.

Good morning from home sweet home! Hope everyone made it back safe and sound. Well, unfortunately the coaches beards are safe for another year. Had some really good shooting but just not quite good enough. The boys finished 10th in the nation which is still a very good accomplishment. In the individual championship there were a couple 98’s good scores but need 100 straight’s to get on the podium.

A few thank yous. First thank you to our student athletes that went to Nationals this year. 22 went which was by far the most in the nation. I heard a lot of comments about your shooting and sportsmanship shown the last few days. Great job!

Second, thank you to all of the parents. Thank you for supporting your kids and our team. Great group.

Third, thank you to all of the area teams and coaches for supporting us as we support each and everyone of the teams from the coulee region as well as across Wisconsin. ( FYI, Wisconsin had 4 of the top teams in the nation).

And last. Thank you to all of my fellow coaches. Our kids keep getting better and better each year with the help and encouragement you guys give them. I think next year the beards will be coming off!

Great year and I’m sure next year will be even better! Thank you all once again! My trap family keeps getting bigger and better each year.

Uffda…..what a day. Started with 22 shooters this morning. Had some good results and some not so good but overall the results were positive. Tomorrow we have 4 shooters that qualified for the finals. Noah with a 99, James with a 97 and Liam and Grayson with a 96. Congrats guys! 95 or better was the cutoff.

So tomorrow is the day. Team of Grayson, Liam, Noah, Charlie and Max shoot at 9. Individuals start about 1:00. Good luck guys!
