Hello I still need some volunteers for the Caramel Apple Ride on this Saturday September 12. I need two volunteers each for West Union and Osakis and one for Sauk Centre.

Please let me know if you can help us out. The time commitment is about 4 hours from 8am to about noon. The volunteers will be staffing the rest stop handing out caramel Apple treats, fruit and cold water.

Hello!! Only 2 days left to pre-register for the 2026 Caramel Apple Ride… registrations close at 5pm on Wednesday.

Ride starts at 8am on Saturday September 12 in Sauk Centre MN. Check in and registration will be at 1000 Ash St So in Sauk Centre at the NW corner of the Stearns County Fair Grounds. You can choose to ride from Sauk Centre east to Melrose (8 miles) or west to West Union (7 miles) and Osakis (+6 miles).

Rest stops will have Caramel Apple Treats along with more fruit and ice cold water and will be open until about noon. The weather is looking just about perfect with temps about 70 with a light breeze and sunny skies… what a perfect day to enjoy a ride on the Lake Wobegon Trail!!

So, get your friends, neighbors and relatives together and come join the fun on the Lake Wobegon Trail! And after you finish the ride, you can go to Osakis and enjoy the festivities there. What: 13th Annual Caramel Apple Ride
When: Saturday September 7th 2024 starts 8am in SaukCentre
Where: At the NW corner of Stearns County Fairgrounds across from John Wiese Ford 1000 Ash St So Sauk Centre MN
Why: To enjoy a fun ride on the LWT and to Support the Lake Wobegon Trails Association!
So talk to your friends, family and neighbors and plan for a fun outing on the trails. Also Osakis has it's annual Taste of Osakis happening this weekend too. The have Activities happening all weekend long!

We are in need of additional active board members to help manage the Lake Wobegon Trails Association. I have been involved with the association since the early 2000s and plan to retire by November 15th, 2024.

We are a great organization! The organization’s mission is to promote the Lake Wobegon Trails, the communities and businesses along the trails and to support Stearns County Parks in their efforts to maintain and improve the trails.

We have 3 successful events that have been around for a long time. The Caramel Roll Ride has been around for 25 years, and the Lady Slipper Nature Ride and the Caramel Apple Rides have been around for 13 years each. Please check it out and see how you can be a part of the trails association.
