2025 season in the books for the Miners ball club. We traveled back from Rib Lake yesterday after losing a couple games in the first weekend of the Wisconsin Baseball Association (WBA) state tourney. The boys hung real close with a couple talented ball teams losing 9-1 to Norwalk and 7-2 against Interwald. We were in both games until the end at one point being down 3-1 in the 9th against Norwalk and 2-1 in the 7th against Interwald but just weren’t able to capitalize on opportunities like our opponents did in the end. Losing is never fun but with our talented young group of men it’s very easy to see how bright the future can be for Mellen Baseball.
We would like to thank Rib Lake crew for being a great host, especially with the weather and how they got that field ready to play. They never disappoint and it’s always a fun time for us when called upon to make the short trek south.
We would also like to thank all of our fans. Not only the fans that were in Rib Lake this weekend but all our fans throughout the year for supporting us. It takes a community for our little hometown baseball tradition to survive and thrive.
We fully look forward to the 2026 season and what it’s going to bring and good luck to the remaining teams moving on to this weekends battles for the hardware.
Go Miners!!! ⚾️🇺🇸⚾️🇺🇸
