After a summer full of hard work, early mornings, hot practices, and countless hours of preparation, our Cardinal Nation youth football teams are finally ready to take the field!

This is the moment they’ve been working toward. The first snap. The first hit. The first opportunity to put all that hard work into action.

Let's celebrate one of the youngest medalists in our program! Nyla earned 3rd overall in the 400m at the Texas State Meet. She ran a 1:15!!

She also finished 11th overall in the 8u 100m dash and 9th overall in the 8u 200m dash!!!

The future is bright for this talented athlete!

A huge thank you to Coach Nally and the varsity staff for spending part of their Saturday investing in the future of .

These coaches volunteered their own time to work with our players, taking them through many of the same drills and techniques they use at the high school level. From tackling, blocking, throwing, and catching to offensive and defensive fundamentals, our athletes received hands-on instruction from some of the best coaches around.

What made it even more valuable was that it wasn’t just the players who learned. Our youth coaches picked up new ideas, techniques, and coaching points that will help us continue developing these young athletes throughout the season.

The willingness of the varsity staff to pour into our program speaks volumes about the culture being built within Melissa athletics. We are grateful for their support, leadership, and commitment to helping our players grow both on and off the field.

Thank you, coaches, for making a difference and helping build the next generation of Cardinals!

Let’s highlight some of our other athletes who competed at the Texas State Meet!!!

Our 10u boys 4x400 A (Max, Daniel, Cable, and Maverick) placed 3rd overall with a time of 4:48!!!

Our 12u boys 4x400 A (LJ, Titus, Quade, and Brason) placed 8th overall with a time of 4:30!!!!

Every kid hit a PR in the 400!!! Show them some love!!!

Cardinal Nation is excited to put together an all-girls Kindergarten/1st Grade team!

If your daughter is interested in playing, please send us an email and we'll provide all the information you need to get signed up.

Practices: Days and times are TBD
Games: Saturday mornings

We're also looking to form teams for other grade levels, but we need coaches to make it happen. If you're interested in volunteering as a coach, please send us an email as well.
