Fish kisses and we'll see you soon to the Middle Yough for the time being. River temps a couple miles below Ramcat are 65 and consistently above 70 down to Ohiopyle. Time to leave those trout alone as we are ramping up our Summer Smallmouth Season. The Dam to Ramcat section is still a go with river temps hovering in the high 50's. We have open dates July - Sept for half day dam trout trips and full/half day smallmouth trips on the Bottom Yough. Contact Rob at 412-715-8461, [email protected] or our DM's. Mixed bag in different sections of the for week 3 of June. Bass bite is improving, trout summer bugs are slowing down with the warming river temps during the week. Yes that is a perch, caught on the Middle Yough near Ohiopyle. We've caught a handful over that last 20 years in that section. Must be one wild ride through the dam to get down there.

Join the LHGS crew for a smallmouth bass tying session. We will cover 3 flies during this session designed for beginners and intermediate tying skill. We will have all of the materials, tools, and vices or bring your own.
Co-hosting with our friends Mountain Watershed Assocation whose work protects the Laurel Highlands fisheries!
