We were with Ann and Wayne yesterday during this sad time and the passing of Ann Satterfield, broke our hearts. We have lost not only a friend but a family member, one we chose to be part of our family. Please pray for Wayne during this very sad time and remember Ann for all she has done in her life as a friend, wife, mother, grand mother and as a driving force in bringing the sport she loved to the adaptive community.
We participated as volunteers for the first time, at Ann's clinic in 1996. Once experiencing the love and enthusiasm Ann had for the sport of water skiing and her desire to bring it into the adaptive water sports community, we knew we had to help.
In 1996 we started our adaptive water ski and equipment division of Kierstead Water Skis, which now is its own company, Liquid Access. We started Liquid Access because of Ann and UcanSki2, and today Liquid Access is the leading supplier of adaptive water ski products, world wide to over 26 countries.
Without Ann’s influence in the water ski community, the advancements, quality and supply of adaptive water sports equipment would not be there. Her commitment to the sport of adaptive water skiing, is exhibited, along with ours at the Water Ski Hall of Fame, in winter Haven , Florida.
Ann has been one of the leading forces in bringing water skiing to the disabled and truly embodies our motto “bringing friends and families together... thru water skiing”.
Over the last 20 years we at Liquid Access have developed a strong bond with Ann and Wayne Satterfield, we are family, friends and partners. We love Ann's excitement and drive to better those around her, but, most of all we love Ann.
Liquid Access is here only because of Ann, and when she asked us to do what we could to keep UcanSki2 going we had only one response, “Ann, you are UcanSki2, we can't replace you”, but promised we would do everything in our power to keep her commitments for next year and do what we could to keep the program running.
Ann has returned all of the equipment to us and signed over the assets of UcanSki2 to DWSA.
We are in the process of making contact with those involved with the ski clinics and programs in order to keep their programs going as long as they desire.
Please contact us through the UcanSki2's page or UcanSki2.com's contact page, if you are interested in continuing your support and participation in the UcanSki 2 water ski program.
Thank you for all your support and involvement in the programs, as well as the support and love you have shown Ann and Wayne Satterfield. This is truly a sad time for all of us.
