Proverbs 19:20
“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.”
We all have room to grow.
Sometimes growth comes through encouragement, but sometimes it comes through correction.
A hard conversation.
An honest observation.
A lesson we didn't want to hear.
Someone pointing out something we couldn't see for ourselves.
Our first instinct may be to defend ourselves or explain why we were right.
But wisdom begins when we're willing to listen.
Accepting advice doesn't mean every opinion is right. It means having enough humility to consider what we can learn from the people God has placed in our lives.
❤️ Correction can be uncomfortable, but it can also be a gift.
The question isn't whether we'll make mistakes or need guidance. We will.
The question is whether we'll be humble enough to learn, grow, and become better because of them.
👇 Reflection:
When someone gives you advice or correction, are you willing to listen for the lesson—even when it's hard to hear?
