We are proud to recognize and celebrate one of our own , Terrance Jones, as he takes the next step in his coaching career as he will be taking over as the Varsity Girls Head Coach here at Melbourne High School!
Terrance Jones is a 2005 Melbourne High School graduate and three-sport varsity athlete, earning letters in football, track, and basketball. His passion for competition and leadership on the court and field laid the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to sports and mentorship.
After graduation, Terrance came back home. He joined the Melbourne High boys basketball program as a freshman coach under Head Coach Mike Soliven, where he became a steady, valued presence , helping build a strong foundation for student-athletes both on and off the court.
Beyond the school walls, Terrance has been a cornerstone of the Space Coast basketball community. He volunteered with Melbourne PAL, positively impacting young athletes and fostering a love for the game. He also is one of the cofounders of the Countdown County Supersonics, a local travel organization where he has continued to mentor and develop players at the competitive level.
Now stepping into his new role as Varsity Girls Head Coach at Melbourne High School, Terrance brings a wealth of experience, deep community roots, and genuine passion for developing young people , not just as basketball players, but as individuals of character, discipline, and teamwork.
