💪 12-Hour Shift in the Mud 💪
One of our drop camp hunters shot this bull at 6pm. Watched him flip over backwards in a deep mud hole burying his antlers over 30 inches. It took the whole camp effort to get it quartered and packed to the trees before rolling back into camp at 6:30am.
That is Colorado backcountry wilderness elk hunting at its best!

These boys didn’t let the unseasonably warm weather slow them down. They showed up, put in the work, and made it happen in the beautiful Flat Tops Wilderness with a couple of bulls.

Despite an unusually dry winter, these recent spring rains are a welcome sight across the high country.
With the moisture coming at just the right time, we’re optimistic the wildflowers will still put on a strong show this season. The mountains are starting to wake up, and it won’t be long before everything is green, blooming, and full of life again.
