Hard isn't the problem. Walking away from your calling is.
We spend so much of our lives trying to find the easier path.
The easier job.
The easier relationship.
The easier workout.
The easier decision.
But Scripture never promises an easy life.
It promises that God will be with us through it.
I've realized something over the last few years: every path has hard days. The difference isn't whether life is difficult. The difference is whether you're suffering for something God actually called you to.
Building the business is hard.
Staying comfortable in a place God is asking you to leave is hard.
Training your body is hard.
Living in a body that can't do what you want it to is hard.
Following Christ is hard.
Living apart from Him is harder.
So stop asking, "Which path is easier?"
Start asking, "Which path is God asking me to walk?"
Because when you're living in your calling, even the hardest seasons have purpose. You can muddle through the uncertainty, the setbacks, and the exhaustion because you know Who you're following.
The goal isn't an easy life.
The goal is faithful obedience.
