We are excited to announce that Dance Theater PPA is opening our NEW ERA in a brand-new location and we’re so excited to officially share newly expanded location with you!!

This move marks an exciting new chapter and new era for our DTPPA dance family, and we can't wait to inspire, grow, and dance together in our beautiful new state of the art dance space.

WHY CHOOSE DANCE?

10 WAYS THAT DANCE CAN BENEFIT YOUR CHILD'S DEVELOPMENT

Dance is one of the most unique forms of art, because when we dance... we create using movement!!

BRAIN DEVELOPMENT
Because of the combined features of counting, music & movement, Dance engages many parts of the brain and helps to improve its capacity for learning.

GENERAL ACADEMICS & IQ
The musical training that exists in Dance class has been found to be related to higher IQ, standardized test scores and overall academic achievement.

MATHEMATICS
“When children learn rhythm, they are learning ratios, fractions and proportions," said Professor Gordon Shaw from UC Irvine. Dance can help your child learn math in an artistic way!

GROSS MOTOR SKILLS
Percussion instruments (like Tap shoes!) help children develop coordination and gross motor skills; the combination of movement, sound and music is great for high-energy kids

COMBINED USE OF DANCE STYLES
For example... The musicality practiced in Tap Dance is used greatly in other dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, and even the quick & rhythmic footwork of Petit Allegro in Ballet!

LANGUAGE
Dance Class requires listening skills to understand rhythm patterns and movement. These rhythmic listening skills can positively impact the development of language and reasoning!

TEAMWORK & SOCIAL SKILLS
Dance classes teach kids to strive for visual uniformity, Tall while adding the challenge of creating rhythmic harmony. Each child must know and understand their individual part in the larger ensemble!

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Because of its unique complexity, Dance refines Discipline & Patience. Children learn about delayed gratification as they develop their technique. It teaches about the power of practice, process and persistence

SELF-ESTEEM
In Dance Class, students face and conquer the challenges of learning to expand both their musical abilities and vocabulary. Students also take risks and discover their own voices through improvisation!

MUSIC REINFORCEMENT
Because of the music theory taught in Dance class, students who study other musical instruments get to kinesthetically reinforce those skills in the dance studio!

Dance Theater Premier Performing Arts is proud to announce that we have teamed up with Jack Rabbit Dance to create a custom software management program to offer a more streamlined process of registration, payments, account information reporting and improved communication for all of our Dance Families!!

Jack Rabbit has not only created our very own Dance Theater PPA custom parent portal, But also our very own Custom-Branded APP (Available in the Apple and Google Play stores). YES ….. You Read that Correct- A DANCE THEATER PREMIER PERFORMING ARTS APP!!

Our new Website and App will launch soon and We hope that you are as excited as we are for the NEW ERA at Dance Theater Premier Performing Arts and for the 2026/2027 Dance Season!!
