Hi, my name Is Nathan Lake and I am the head instructor at Martial Arts of Medford. I am a 6th degree black belt with a background in karate that began in 1987. I teach along with my son, Christian Lake who holds a 4th degree black belt and has over 20 years experience in the martial arts. We teach a program that focuses on the whole person; body, mind, and spirit through physical training, critical thinking, and character development.

Here at Martial Arts of Medford our goal is to give students the confidence and character to become the best people that they can be.

We teach not only the art of traditional karate but also character traits such as integrity, discipline, courage, and kindness in a fun, challenging, and structured atmosphere.

Our instructors are knowledgeable and caring. We take the time to work with our students individually to learn how to best support them on their martial arts and life journey.

Tonight’s class was special to me. We began with sparring and ended with men talking and encouraging one another. Thank you Sam, Jason, and Stephen for a fun and edifying evening. I love this dojo!
