Hibbard Charges to Second 2026 ISCS Victory at Southern Oregon Speedway

By Ben Deatherage

WHITE CITY, Ore. (June 6, 2026) — Bailey Hibbard continued his strong start to the Dave's Home Supply Interstate Sprint Car Series season, racing from fourth to victory lane in the tour's third event of 2026 and second visit of the year to Southern Oregon Speedway.

R.J. McGahuey paced the field in the early stages and established a commanding rhythm around the White City oval. A caution on lap six erased his advantage, but the Grants Pass driver remained in control on the restart.

Austin Sause kept the pressure on from the high side and mounted a challenge around lap nine, only to see McGahuey fend him off. As the battle unfolded, Garen Linder joined the fray aboard the Roger Henderson-owned No. 7N, creating a three-car fight for the runner-up position.

While his pursuers battled, McGahuey was able to stretch his lead until Bailey Hibbard made his move.

The Medford driver electrified the crowd on lap 13 with a daring double pass in turn two to vault into second. Moments later, a caution flag slowed the field and erased McGahuey's advantage.

On the ensuing restart, Hibbard carried momentum off turn two and surged past McGahuey to take command on lap 14.

Once out front, Hibbard was untouchable. He steadily pulled away from the field and maintained his advantage even after encountering lapped traffic in the closing stages.

The victory was Hibbard's second of the season and seventh career Interstate Sprint Car Series triumph.

Calamity unfolded behind him as McGahuey and Linder battled fiercely for second. The pair made contact coming to the checkered flag exiting turn four, allowing Sause to grab the runner-up position in the final rundown.

Teenager Parker Mockridge completed the podium in third. Dave Hibbard finished fourth, while Dave Marble rounded out the top five.

McGahuey topped qualifying with a fast lap of 12.392 seconds around the 3/8-mile oval. Heat race victories earlier in the evening went to Mockridge and Chris Salyer.

The Dave's Home Supply Interstate Sprint Car Series returns to action on June 27.

Hibbard Carries Momentum Into Interstate Sprint Car Series Return at Southern Oregon Speedway

By Ben Deatherage

WHITE CITY, Ore. (June 4, 2026) — The Dave's Home Supply Interstate Sprint Car Series returns to action Saturday, June 6, when the Pacific Northwest's premier 360 sprint car tour makes its second appearance of the season at Southern Oregon Speedway.

The series opened with a thrilling doubleheader in May, producing two memorable storylines. Bailey Hibbard captured the opener at Douglas County Dirt Track before his father, Dave Hibbard, earned his first career Interstate Sprint Car Series feature victory the following night at Southern Oregon Speedway.

The elder Hibbard enters Saturday's event as the series point leader after recording a victory and a runner-up finish during the opening weekend. The Medford veteran holds a seven-point advantage over Bailey Hibbard in the championship standings.

Bailey Hibbard comes into the event carrying plenty of momentum after beginning the season with a victory at Douglas County Dirt Track. The younger Hibbard remains one of the tour's most formidable competitors and continues to be among the favorites whenever the Interstate Sprint Car Series unloads.

Chris Salyer sits third in the championship chase after a pair of top-five finishes to begin the year, while Austin Sause and Garen Linder round out the current top five in points.

Southern Oregon Speedway has traditionally produced some of the closest racing in series competition. The White City 3/8-mile oval has hosted 13 Interstate Sprint Car Series events dating back to 2022 and has crowned seven different winners.

Jake Wheeler and Camden Robustelli share the lead atop the track's all-time series win list with four victories apiece. Bailey Hibbard, Blaine Cory, Charlie Thompson, Garen Linder, and Dave Hibbard have also reached victory lane in Interstate Sprint Car Series competition at the facility. Robustelli's four wins came between 2022 and 2025, while Wheeler accumulated his four triumphs from 2023 through 2024. Thompson earned his lone series victory at the track in 2023, while Linder scored his first Southern Oregon triumph in 2024. Cory and Bailey Hibbard each added wins in 2025 before Dave Hibbard became the newest name on the winner's list with his breakthrough victory during the season-opening weekend on May 9.

Dave Hibbard Scores First ISCS Win in White City Thriller

By Ben Deatherage

WHITE CITY, Ore. (May 9, 2026) — The Dave’s Home Supply Interstate Sprint Car Series wrapped up its season-opening weekend with another action-packed night, this time at Southern Oregon Speedway, where Dave Hibbard broke through for his first career series victory.

Following an exciting opener the night before at Douglas County Dirt Track, Saturday’s feature wasted no time getting dramatic, as a caution on the initial start reset the field before a lap could officially be completed.

When racing finally got underway, Hibbard, the 2018 Southern Oregon Speedway track champion, took control early and set the tone out front. Austin Sause gave chase, working the high side in pursuit, but Hibbard remained smooth and steady on the bottom groove to maintain the advantage.

As the race approached the halfway mark, lapped traffic began to factor in around lap nine, tightening the battle behind the leader. Bailey Hibbard and R.J. McGahuey waged a spirited fight for third during that stretch, with Bailey continuing to charge forward after being involved in the opening-start incident.

That battle soon evolved into a three-car fight for second, allowing Dave Hibbard to build a comfortable gap out front. Bailey eventually cleared Sause for the runner-up spot on lap 15 and immediately turned his focus toward tracking down his father, setting the stage for a potential rematch of their thrilling duel from the night before.

A caution on lap 19 erased the lead and set up a late-race showdown. On the restart, Dave Hibbard was flawless, pulling away cleanly. Another caution one lap later, when Bailey Hibbard slowed to a stop, set up one final restart, but once again, the leader was up to the task.

Dave Hibbard executed perfectly on the restart and drove away to secure his first Interstate Sprint Car Series victory.

R.J. McGahuey finished second, followed by Austin Sause in third. Chris Salyer came home fourth, with David Marble completing the top five.

McGahuey set quick time earlier in the evening with a 12.995-second lap. Heat race victories went to McGahuey and Salyer.

Hibbard Outduels Father in Wild Roseburg Opener to Win Fourth Straight ISCS Feature

By Ben Deatherage

ROSEBURG, Ore. (May 8, 2026) — The Dave’s Home Supply Interstate Sprint Car Series opener on Friday night at Douglas County Dirt Track delivered high drama from start to finish, and when the dust settled, Bailey Hibbard stood tall after a thrilling late-race battle with his own father.

Garen Linder, piloting the Roger Henderson-owned No. 7N, jumped out to the early lead at the drop of the green in the 25-lap feature and set a strong, consistent pace out front.

The race took a dramatic turn on lap 18 when mechanical issues for Charlie Thompson brought him to a halt, triggering a chain-reaction incident. Billy Nutter, in the T.J. and Staci Winningham-owned No. 9T, was forced into the wall and tipped onto his side, while Linder was also collected in the chaos. Though Linder was able to return after a trip to the work area, the incident handed the lead to Dave Hibbard.

On the restart, it turned into a family showdown.

Dave Hibbard faced immediate pressure from his son, Bailey, in a spirited battle for the top spot. Bailey surged ahead on lap 19, only to see his father counter and reclaim the lead one circuit later. Refusing to back down, the younger Hibbard regrouped, made another charge, and secured the lead for good on lap 21.

Once out front, Bailey pulled away to finish off a remarkable run.

The victory marked his sixth career series win, fourth straight with the Interstate Sprint Car Series, and third at Douglas County Dirt Track — the most all-time at the Roseburg facility.

Dave Hibbard held on for second, followed by Chris Salyer in third. Teenager Parker Mockridge impressed with a fourth-place effort, while Linder recovered from the earlier incident to round out the top five.

Earlier in the evening, Bailey Hibbard set quick time with a 12.918-second lap around the 3/10-mile oval. Heat race wins went to Hibbard and Nutter.

ISCS Opens 2026 Season May 8-9 in Roseburg and Southern Oregon

By Ben Deatherage

ROSEBURG, Ore. (May 6, 2026) — The Dave's Home Supply Interstate Sprint Car Series is ready to launch its 2026 season with a two-night Southern Oregon doubleheader, bringing the premier 360 Sprint Car Series in the Pacific Northwest—formerly known as the Iron Head Sprint Series—back to action on Friday, May 8 at Douglas County Dirt Track in Roseburg and Saturday, May 9 at Southern Oregon Speedway in White City.

Both tracks have played major roles in the recent history of the series, producing close racing, repeat winners and several of the top names in Northwest sprint car competition.

Douglas County Dirt Track has produced four different winners in eight listed series races, with Bailey Hibbard, Blaine Cory, Camden Robustelli and Jake Wheeler each owning two wins at the Roseburg oval.

Southern Oregon Speedway has seen six different winners in 12 series events. Jake Wheeler and Camden Robustelli lead the way with four wins apiece at the White City 3/8-mile oval, while Hibbard, Cory, Charlie Thompson and Garen Linder have also visited victory lane there.

Hibbard enters the weekend on a hot streak, having won the last three Interstate Sprint Car Series events. He also made headlines last September at Douglas County Dirt Track, setting a blistering 12.592-second lap on September 12 — a mark quicker than the existing open 360 track record. R.J. McGahuey, Dave Hibbard and David Marble are also expected to be among the contenders when the season opens.

The Linder family will have plenty of attention as well, with Chris Linder coming out of retirement late last year after quite some time away from racing, while his brother Garen Linder is scheduled to compete aboard Roger Henderson’s No. 7N. Billy Nutter is another driver to keep an eye on, driving the No. 9T for car owners T.J. and Staci Winningham.

With two proven venues, a strong list of contenders and the Northwest’s premier 360 Sprint Car Series beginning a new campaign, the May 8-9 weekend gives the Interstate Sprint Car Series an immediate measuring stick to start the 2026 season.
