October at SoGo is all about busting CrossFit Myths! Here’s the first one we’re knocking out. You should come in and see what we’re all about!
“You Don’t Have to Be All In to Make Progress”
When people think about fitness, it’s easy to believe the misconception that you have to go all in to see results—six workouts a week, perfectly measured meals, and a lifestyle that revolves around the gym.
Here’s the truth: progress doesn’t come from being “all in” on fitness. Progress comes from being all in on yourself.
That means choosing consistency and moderation that actually fits the life you want—not the one Instagram says you should have.
For some, that might look like 3 days a week in the gym, paired with 3 days of walking outside with the family, and one day spent running around at the park with your kids. That’s movement. That’s consistency. That’s building a life rooted in strength and wellness.
It also means building habits that support you outside the gym. Simple steps like meal prepping your lunches, drinking enough water, checking in with yourself regularly, and being honest about what’s working—and adjusting what isn’t.
The “all or nothing” mindset is one of the biggest barriers to sustainable fitness. The truth is, small consistent actions compound over time. You don’t have to crush yourself every day. You just have to keep showing up, in a way that fits your season of life.
At SoGo, we believe fitness should add to your life, not take it over. We’re here to help you find the rhythm that works for you—and keeps you progressing for years to come.
