We are dedicated to teaching the youth of Mechanicsville the sports of football & cheer. Being named an Awww Yeah Player of the Week isn’t always about scoring touchdowns or putting up big numbers.

It’s about representing what being a Mechanicsville Hornet is all about:

💪 Giving maximum effort
🤝 Being a great teammate
🏈 Doing your job on every play
📣 Communicating and leading
🔥 Competing until the final whistle

Sometimes that effort results in touchdowns, tackles, turnovers and other plays that show up on the stat sheet. But behind every big play are Hornets blocking, covering, pursuing, communicating and making the unselfish contributions that allow those plays to happen.

Those contributions matter. Those players matter. That’s what being a Hornet is all about!

Tomorrow, the journey officially begins.

From the first whistle to the final snap, this team will be built on hard work, discipline, and family. Every sprint. Every rep. Every practice brings us one step closer to our goal.
