Even though National Parks and Recreation Month is almost over, St. Mary's County Recreation & Parks is continuing to celebrate something that shows the positive "Power of Community" all year long: the R&P Scholarship Fund.
Through special community events—including the upcoming R&P Classic Golf Tournament at Wicomico Shores Golf Course—R&P is committed to allocating net revenues to help qualifying children and teens have the opportunity to participate in fun, healthy, positive programs and activities at a discounted rate.
This year's tournament is Friday, October 2 and offers a day of fun, food, prizes and friendly competition for a great cause. Register your foursome, or register individually and get grouped with a team.

Each participating team, individual, and sponsor helps provide that much more opportunity for families to send their children to summer camps, participate in youth basketball, and make memories and form friendships that can last a lifetime. In its nearly 30 year history, the golf tournament has raised more than $200,000 to benefit the R&P Scholarship Fund.
