Tony Mendonca, former national and international karate champion, has opened a traditional karate school in McMinnville, Oregon. Sensei Tony Mendonca, who grew up in Oregon, will bring exceptional instruction in classical martial arts with his 30+ years of training experience. Fun, challenging, and engaging, classes will be held for all ages, levels, and abilities. Come and participate in a class to find out for yourself how amazing traditional karate can be.

Great job this this team for competing at last Weekends West Coast Open hosted by Washington Karate Lakewood Dojo and sensei Charles Sweigart. This small team brought home 15 medals. As we were away this trip special thanks to Kathryn Newhouse senpai, Ryan, Hannah, Nat, and Mike for all the help with the kids. Great work to everyone. Keep competing, keep learning, and keep growing. See you all back at the dojo.

What a week: To take part in the world championships and compete at the highest level for your sport and represent your nation is a true honer. It was not the result we wanted but we will learn and grow and continue. Thank you to everyone that has supported this journey.
Special thanks to sensei John Limcaco for all the collaboration and for coaching Logan at words. He is truly one of the best and his skill and dedication is truly appreciated.
Also thank you to sensei Akira for all the mental skills work. We have 3 bronze medal finals for USA. So let’s finish strong. USA!
