NEW AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM STARTING IN AUG!! (K-5th)

Who: Team Legacy Martial Arts and Savage Samurai Martial Arts and Razors Edge Muay Thai

When: Monday-Friday, 3pm-6pm.

Where: lower level the plaza shopping center / McMinnville Marketplace

Why: to provide community support for families who want or need after school care, homework help and martial arts.

Following our mission statement, our goal is to provide the students with educational support, health and wellness, and fun!
Each student will work on their homework and have 20 minutes of reading one on one with an instructor. We will also provide support in any areas the children need; reading, writing, math, etc. Once that is completed, the class will work on various subjects such as steam activities, learning to read an analog clock, cursive writing and financial literacy. We will also invite our community helpers to visit the children and discuss their roles as firefighters, policemen, and first responders.

During health and wellness, we will teach about muscles, the skeleton, healthy habits and nutrition. We will have martial arts classes every day, discussing the importance of respect, self discipline and the traditions of different styles.

With over 25 years of experience teaching martial arts to children, I feel this program will benefit the children and parents of our community greatly.

As the leader of this program, I simply cannot wait to get started.

The true path of karate doesn't begin when you put on a belt... It starts the day you decide to trust someone who has walked the path before you.

A teacher doesn't just teach techniques.

They teach you to get up when you want to give up, corrects you when pride blinds you, & demands from you because he sees something in you that you are not yet able to see.

Loyalty to your teacher does not mean walking behind him all your life.. It means honoring each teaching while building your own path. The student who stands firm on the difficult days, who keeps training when no one is watching, who remembers who taught him to take the first step... that student sooner or later becomes an example to others.

Then you understand something important:
The true legacy of karate is not the belts, trophies, or victories.
It's the connection between generations.
It's the teacher guiding the student... and the student becoming a teacher someday.

Every step hurts. Every fall leaves a mark.
But if you continue to move forward with discipline, humility and loyalty... The time will come when you will look back and discover that that that child who could barely climb the first step, is now inspiring others to start their own journey.

There will be days where you feel like you're not moving forward...
days where fatigue, defeats and doubts will outweigh more than your own strength.

But dreams aren't built on easy times.

You are built when you decide to go on, afraid, tired, even when no one else understands what you're fighting to achieve.

Every fall is shaping you.

Every sacrifice is creating a stronger version of you.
Because whoever learns to resist, ends up conquering what seemed impossible.

Don't give up.

Though the road is long... it keeps on going up.
Although you feel you're going slow.... keep on moving forward.
Even if you don't see results today.... keep believing.
The biggest goals are for those who have the courage to continue when others give up.

One day you'll look back and understand that all the effort, every tear and every silent battle, was all worth it.

Keep going.

The person you dream of becoming... is waiting for you at the end of the road.

What an AMAZING day this past Saturday for Legacy JiuJitsu! Team training was simply AWESOME! We had over 70 people with 11 Black belts on the mats! Huge congrats to all who were promoted to new ranks! Cesar and Coty were promoted to Black belt! Eric and Chris got their 1st degrees, Jimmie and Shawn got their 2nd Degree! Special thank you to our instructors, Professor Warren Grace, Professor Logan Nash, and Professor Casey Ogden! We are already excited for next year! See you on the mats! ...
