The Madeira School is proud to announce the appointment of Danielle Cabel as the new Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2026 season.
Coach Cabel brings a unique blend of high-level athletic experience, academic excellence, and analytical expertise to Madeira’s volleyball program. A former Division I student-athlete at the University of Connecticut, she developed a strong foundation in competitive volleyball while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics. Her collegiate experience instilled a deep commitment to discipline, teamwork, and leadership—qualities she now brings to her coaching philosophy.
In addition to her athletic background, Cabel holds a PhD in Statistics from Temple University and currently works as a data scientist. Her professional expertise enhances her ability to analyze performance, implement strategic adjustments, and support program development with a thoughtful and structured approach.
Cabel has built a strong coaching resume at both the scholastic and club levels. Most recently, she served as Volleyball Coach at Hayfield Secondary School, where she led the team to an impressive 13–1 record while fostering a competitive, disciplined, and positive team environment. She has also coached at the club level with the Alexandria Titans Volleyball Club, working with 13U athletes and focusing on skill development, positional training, and team cohesion.
Throughout her coaching career, Cabel has emphasized creating a culture of accountability, confidence, and growth. She is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel both on and off the court, with a strong focus on communication, teamwork, and personal development.
“I’m excited to build a program rooted in discipline, teamwork, and positive growth,” Cabel shared in her communications during the hiring process. “My goal is to create an environment where student-athletes are challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.”
