Let’s jump on this thing about “ how and when to play the wind for deer hunting! Now all the experts out there say that if your wind is not right that you shouldn’t be hunting that stand; but we say something totally different, yes we said it, we (me) in particular actually want to hunt any and every windy day and stand, scenario that I can, why, you ask, well one particular reason and really the only reason is because, I hunt with SCENTS, yes, believe it or not, some of us actually hunt during windy days when yall say you shouldn’t, but, here’s the deal, the scents we use are actually our own 601 Outdoor Scents, that are made, bottled, and shipped from South Mississippi, and that bad wind you guys preach about, actually helps carry those scents out farther from my stands to the game that I am hunting. If that animal comes across that scent AND IT APPEALS TO IT’s liking chances are that it will come in to investigate it whether it’s a Doe N Heat, a Glandular, Cover or Food Attractant scent and likely will become table fare, while you wait on that perfect wind for you to hunt. Yes , I play the wind too as a way to get those scents out farther to the game, but, here’s something you should know about scents, it doesn’t matter what brand or kind of scents you use, the game that you pursue, MUST BE IN THE AREA, to smell it or you, AND it must process that scent through it’s nose to see whether it’s appealing or alarming to them at that particular moment as to how they move…. Ponder that and let’s see those rebuttals
Anyway that’s my opinion on that subject
Hunt while you can, because one lost day is something you’ll never get back
