Three years apart.
The picture on the left was actually taken closer to competition day than where I am right now on the right.
When I look at these pictures, of course I see the physical progress. Three more years of training, eating, recovering, learning and continuing to put in the work.
But that’s not the only progress I see anymore.
The man on the right has a much different relationship with Christ than the man on the left did.
Through my Bible study lately, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about 2 Timothy 4:7 — fighting the good fight, finishing the race and keeping the faith.
I’m not at the finish line of this prep. And I’m certainly not at the finish line of the race God has given me.
I’m still being shaped as a Christian, husband, father, leader, business owner, coach and competitor.
So I’ll keep doing what God has put in front of me.
Keep training.
Keep serving.
Keep growing.
Keep the faith.
6 weeks out. September 19.
For hashtags, I’d keep them tight:
