March: Soccer KinderSports is an introductory program to the sport of the season.

Children are placed in a team setting where they help develop their motor skills while having fun learning how to play a sport. KinderSports gives toddlers the opportunity to learn team work, good sportsmanship, the importance of exercise, sports safety and the basic skills of various sports. Classes are run in non-competitive and friendly enivironment. Weeks 1-3: Children learn basic skills & con

Week 4: Children apply what they have learned to a game situation
Week 5: Children participate in the "Big Game"
Week 6: Kids vs Grown-ups & Awards

The pair were together for years and acted as surrogate parents if other flamingos were unable to raise their chick. Freddie has now moved on to a new relationship.

Happy New Year KinderStars!!! Basketball season is coming up soon. Make sure to stop by the McKinleyville Parks & Rec office to reserve your spot. Season starts January 18. Can't wait to see you all there to shoot some hoops!

Only a few days left to sign up for soccer. The 11am hour is full but there are plenty of spots to fill in the 1230 class and a few spots left in the Junior class. Stop by the McKinleyville Parks & Recreation office before 5pm this Friday and sign up. Classes start this Saturday at Morris Elementary. Looking forward to a great soccer season!
