Congratulations to our Fall 2025 Chipmunk, Penguin and Cadet Champions. Every single season each of these kids improve and we love to be a part of the growth. Thank you to all of the coaches (Mike Russo, Bob Rodkey, Sean Sieg, Noah Evans, George Campbell, Nate Antkowiak and Ken Chisholm) for your hard work and dedication to helping our kids learn the game we love!

The 2025 Novice Championship was intense! The Notorious B.I.G. Foot and the South Hills Invaders battled for the championship Title for the second year in a row. Both teams exchanged scoring chances throughout the game, but the outstanding goaltending from Dave Deuerling and Josh Jones kept the game close and low scoring. The offensive hero in this game was Jordan Vecchiola who scored a pair of goals including the game winner to help Notorious take down the defending champs.

Congratulations Notorious B.I.G. Foot on winning the Championship and we look forward to seeing you guys next year!

Congratulations to the South Hills Bandits on winning the 2025 Halloween Classic Rec B Championship on Sunday. The bandits were the #1 seed after round robin play and managed to run the table in the playoffs by defeating the Ghoul Scores 4-3 and the Devil Dogs 6 - 1 in the finals. The championship game was a lot closer than the score would indicate. It was just a 1 goal game heading into the 3rd period, but that’s when the Bandit’s offense came to life. Collin Falk led the way with 2 beautiful goals along with 2 assists to help clinch the victory. Great job guys! We look forward to seeing if you can run it back again next year!

Congratulations to the Pumpkin Predz on winning the 2025 Halloween Classic Rec A Championship on Sunday. They finished round robin play as the #1 seed, but still had to face the highly talented Butler Breeze in the semis. Nick Phillips was the hero by scoring in OT to help his team advance to the finals. This game did not disappoint! Some of the top players in Pittsburgh battled hard in the rain and it came down to the final minute of play. To recap, the Predz’ Phil Tranter opened up the scoring late in the first period assisted by Tony Kiger and Jake Fetzer. Mike Hosack buried a rebound off a slap shot in the high slot from Captain Zach Smith to tie it up at 1. Mike Tassos scored early in the third period to give Amityville back the lead. With just 58 seconds remaining and with the goalie pulled, the Predz’ Cam Kitchener buried a rebound to tie it up at 2. Just 35 seconds later, Phil Tranter found Tony Kiger all alone backdoor for a one timer to give the Pumpkin Predz the lead and help secure their first Halloween Championship! What a game!!! We look forward to seeing if you can run it back again next year!

Attention all 7-9 AND 10-12 year old hockey players. Our McKeesport Organization is holding our 2026 Penguin and Beaver Tournament Team tryouts today at 6 and 7pm.

Beaver Tryouts: 6pm to 7pm
Penguin Tryouts: 7pm to 8pm

We would love for you to attend and practice with us. Please bring a white and a black shirt as well as a water to keep hydrated. Even if you do not intend on playing on the tournament team, you are more than welcome to come down and have your child run around with us for some extra practice.
