Huge congratulations to our amazing team that just a few weeks ago competed at the 46th Annual Florida Sports Foundation's Sunshine State Games.
We arrived to hallowed June tournament with five teams, a young and inexperienced 12U contingent, a 16U team full of younger athletes including some 12 and 13 years old, a senior ladened 18U team that doubled up playing in the Open Men's division with most of the kids finishing their age group playing careers and lastly one of the strongest Open Men's teams that our club has fielded in some time.
Our 12U and 16U gained valuable experience in the large competition, especially with many athletes either competing for their first times ever or competing in an older age group for the first time.
Our 18U team that has long dominated the Florida age group scene finished the tournament with a gold medal in hand sending many of the graduated athletes with an amazing summer farewell, more impressively, the 18U team would manage to also get into the final of the Open Men's division.
In the Open Men's divison, our strong team led by Coach Mike's wisdom proved resilient and strong on their way to a gold medal finish, after strong competition against Team Orlando and Tampa, the final against our younger Open team proved to be a fun affair full of smiles and laughter.
