Our girls won their first tournament game tonight! 💪💙🥎❤️

Valley Indians Jr High Fall After Strong Showing By Northwest JH softball

Valley Indians Jr High couldn't keep up with Northwest JH softball and fell 13-3 on Thursday.

A passed ball put Valley Indians Jr High on the board in the top of the first.

Valley Indians Jr High added one run in the second. Northwest JH softball committed an error, making the score 2-0.

Northwest JH softball flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Kayleigh S that drove in one.

Northwest JH softball scored five runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Emma C singled, scoring one run, Schea A singled, scoring one run, Karleigh KD S doubled, scoring one run, Rylee P tripled, scoring one run, and Braylie R singled, scoring one run.

Kyndall A stepped in the circle first for Valley Indians Jr High. The left-handed pitcher gave up 17 hits and 13 runs (10 earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Jailynn S started the game for Northwest JH softball. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and two runs (zero earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four.

Kyndall and Harper C were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Valley Indians Jr High.

Northwest JH softball tallied 17 hits in the game. Schea drove the middle of the lineup, leading Northwest JH softball with three runs batted in. The right fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Kayleigh and Karleigh KD each collected three hits for Northwest JH softball. Jailynn, Emma, Rylee, and Braylie each collected multiple hits for Northwest JH softball. Northwest JH softball turned one double play in the game.
