Not our best weekend of softball by any means! Bats were cold during pool play and we played in the rain which made strikes and defense harder than usual, But we aren’t making excuses, we know we didn’t have our best softball days this weekend. Nobody ever wants to make the Aluminum Bracket 🤣 but when you do - you go out and take care of business on Sunday. These girls fight hard for each other, and for that I will be forever grateful for this team. Sometimes it’s not about the wins and losses, sometimes it’s about the life lessons they teach me as their coach! I watch from third base and watch them pick each other up in that dugout, they turn frustration and sometimes tears into smiles, hugs and high fives! These girls will never know what it feels like to really lose because they have each other! Some people don’t have friends like that in a lifetime! And I have 10 of them in one dug out!

I have lots of things to shout out from this weekend, but first let’s give a BIG Shout Out to our Dawg In The Circle - Bree Spence who hit 100 strikeouts in the spring over the weekend! Kid pitched 24 innings this weekend with 22 strikeouts! She shows up when her number is called!!! She also had a .412 batting average on the weekend with 8 hits, 3 triples and one inside the park homer! Kid played as BIG as her heart this weekend! Way to go Bree Money!!! 💰

Girls, I honestly don’t know if words can fully express how proud I am of every single one of you. Competing in the USFA Texas State Championship Open Division is already a feat in itself, but doing it with only 9 players because of injuries showed the kind of toughness and heart this team truly has.

Game after game, inning after inning, when your bodies were tired and your legs felt heavy, you somehow found a second wind. Every time we needed energy, focus, or a big moment, someone stepped up. When we needed runs, you found ways to manufacture them — fighting for every base, making smart plays, staying aggressive, and refusing to quit. That grit and determination is something no scoreboard can measure.

Finishing Top 6 out of 43 teams is something to be incredibly proud of. You earned every bit of that accomplishment with resilience, teamwork, and belief in each other. I watched you battle through adversity, support one another, and leave everything you had on that field.

This team showed character all weekend long. You proved that heart can carry you farther than numbers ever will. You represented yourselves, your families, and Impact Gold with so much pride and class. No matter what challenges came your way, you never stopped competing.

Thank you for trusting your coaches, for trusting each other, and for giving everything you had. I hope you girls realize how memorable this run was and how proud you should be of yourselves. I will never forget the way you refused to give up. Love you girls so much, and I’m beyond honored to be your coach. ❤️🥎

We didn't get to play a single game in April due to weather and schedules. Mother Nature rained out our original tournament this weekend - but the parents agreed we all needed some ball in our life! After a quick tournament hop - and a less quick 2 hour drive to Ledbetter, TX - You are looking at the USFA HITTING DINGERS AT DIAMOND OAKS RANCH UNDEFEATED CHAMPS!

These girls went 6-0 this weekend. You can tell they missed the field! Team Batting Average: .426 - we had 5 strikeouts in 6 games! The bats were hot and defense was solid! We made big play after big play! We put things together in the games we had been working on all month in practice. We had pick offs at 3rd base. We fabricated runs with small ball. We made hard plays look easy this weekend and WE HAD A TON OF FUN being back on the diamond!

You can say ALOT about these girls! But what you CANT EVER say is that THEY DONT MAKE ME PROUD!

This team is heading into mid may ball with a 32-6 record! We are hunting 40 wins by the end of MAY!

Impact Gold 2k13 is the Crush Alzheimer’s Tournament Champs! We appreciate USFA Tournament Director - Charles Barnhouse - so much. He is always so accommodating and helpful with all the tournaments we play in. This tournament was a fundraiser tournament benefiting his wife, who is battling Alzheimer’s. We were honored to play in it, and take home the Gold! 8-0 on the weekend. The girls worked hard, and grew as a team! Super proud of them!
