I am not perfect. I am not the skinniest girl in the gym. I have cellulite. I have belly rolls. I have acne. I still eat ice cream. I still enjoy sweets. I still have days where my motivation isn't at 100%. And that's okay.

For a long time, I thought fitness was supposed to look perfect. But real progress isn't built on perfection, it's built on showing up, even when life isn't perfect.

I am strong, but I still have insecurities.
I am disciplined, but I still enjoy the foods I love.
I am confident, but I am always working to become better.
I am proud of how far I've come, but I still have room to grow.

Social media and beauty standards will tell you that you need to be smaller, leaner, or skinnier to be beautiful. I disagree. Beauty is confidence. Beauty is strength. Beauty is resilience.

I am not defined by my weight, my body fat percentage, or whether I have visible abs. I am defined by my character, my work ethic, and the promises I keep to myself.

Being skinny isn't healthy. Being skinny isn't my goal. Being strong, healthy, capable, and confident is.

You don't have to be perfect to be successful. You don't have to fit society's standards to be beautiful. You don't have to be skinny to be worthy.

You just have to keep showing up.

If I can do it, so can you. 🖤

Movement Monday with Nae 💪🏽

The underhand barbell row is a great way to build a stronger back while bringing the biceps into the movement more than a traditional overhand row. Focus on controlling the weight, maintaining a strong hip hinge, and letting your back do the work.

Movement Monday with Nae 🤪

The sumo belt squat is a great lower body movement for building strength in the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and inner thighs, all while placing less stress on the lower back compared to traditional barbell squats. Focus on controlled reps, proper depth, and keeping the knees tracking over the toes.

The seated DB shoulder press is a great movement for building stronger, more stable shoulders and improving overhead strength.

Remember:
• Stay braced
• Control the descent
• Keep the elbows around 45° on the way down

Train with intention, not ego. 😉
