We have for sale a cute and vintage cast iron door stop that is featuring three puppies outside playing in a rose garden.

Probably from the 1930's or 1940's. No markings on the back, but it is well preserved with no cracks.

It measures approximately 12" in length and 7" in height, and it is solid. We are asking $39.99.

It is in our shop called The Shed in McCook, Nebraska at 205 East 4th Street. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 to 5.

This last week I learned of the passing of my first - first cousin, Scott Warner. We spent time together when we were younger. He served in the Military and I respected him for his service. He was a great football player growing up and won a Nebraska State Championship in wrestling in the early 1970's. Rest in Peace Scott, and looking forward to seeing you again on the other side.

The photo says AUG 62. We were out at our cabin on Green Lake near Willmar, Minnesota, where we were living at the time. Scott is shirtless and I'm next to him. My big sister Pam is in the back and to her left is Scott's younger sister Dixie. My younger brother Roger is on the other end. We were cheering or celebrating something, so Cheers to You Scott, RIP. We have two amazing vintage accordions for sale. We obtained them awhile back from an estate. The people's older relatives played these instruments.

The second accordion is a beautiful GOLD LO DUCA BROS ACCORDION that was made in Milwaukee Wis U.S.A.

However, there is a stamp on this Acccordion that says MADE IN ITALY. So it must have been sold in Milwaukee, but made in Italy.
There is also a label on the Accordian that says PETITE CONSOLE.

From what I was able to learn, the family thought this was from the latter 1940's. It comes with the original case with a PURPLE lining inside. There was some music

I am not an accordion player, although I did take lessons when I was younger and this instrument appears to be in fairly good shape. There is one defect I need to point out. The Bellow on the right side of the instrument is loose from the left side with the button, often called the Bass Side. It needs to be re-attached.

But with any older quality instrument, these instruments are worth restoring and using, because they are better than what is made today.

If you have any questions, or are close to Southwest Nebraska, you are welcome to come and look it overt for yourself.

We are asking $250.00 and we will ship it anywhere in the U.S.A. for that price.

As we start a new week of recognizing nurses, I'd like to share a picture of Susan and our three children, Jennifer, Marc, and Matt, on the day she was pinned as a registered nurse. She graduated from Garden City Community College in Garden City Kansas. It's been a blessing of a career for my wife.

The first accordion is a black ENRICO ROSELLI ACCORDION.
It is stamped in gold MADE IN ITALY

There is also a paper sticker on the back that says, CUSTOM BUILT EXPRESSLY FOR STANCATO SCHOOL. 2961 U.S. PATENT D 160 898
From what I was able to learn, the family thought this was from the latter 1940's. It comes with the original case with a red lining inside.

I am not an accordion player, although I did take lessons when I was younger and this instrument appears to be in good working order.

We are at it again at The Shed. We are still open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 to 5, but you'll notice we are laying a new parking lot in front of our little shop. You can still park out front, but soon we'll have some diagonal parking. So stop on in and see all the new stuff we have brought in.

It was Thirty Years Ago Today, (okay it was yesterday) that Susan and I sponsored Husker Daze in Lincoln, Nebraska. We owned a Card and Gift Store in East Park Plaza, that smaller mall next to Gateway.

When I say cards, I'm talking greeting cards, not baseball cards. It's something we did 30 years ago, before the internet took over that duty.

I'd like to share some photos I took during that event. The lovely gal in the coveralls is my wife, Susan, 30 years ago.
