Parklane Academy Varsity Cheerleaders

Parklane varsity cheer recently attended UCA Camp at Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. While at camp, they received a blue superior ribbon for sideline chant and cheer, a gold superior ribbon for camp routine, and a spirit stick each night. Final day awards include 1st place in sideline chant, 1st place in camp routine, 2nd place in camp cheer, and the Leadership Award voted on by the other teams at camp.

After losing a hard-fought game to #2 seed Trine University from Indiana, 5-3 last night, #7 seed Belhaven won its elimination game tonight against #6 seed Mount Union from Ohio. With the score tied 2-2 in the 7th inning, Liberty Gillihan hit a solo home run to put Belhaven up and win 3-2. Belhaven plays Rowan today in the D3 College World Series in Salem, Virginia.

Belhaven won the super regional in division 3 softball over the University of Wisconsin Osh Kosh today 10-2. Liberty Gillihan and AR Sharpe, former Parklane softball players, hold up their trophy. Liberty Gillihan was chosen the MVP of the super regional. Belhaven advances to play in the college World Series in Salem Virginia.

Parklane Academy is proud to announce the hiring of Coach Josh Watts as the new Head Boys Basketball Coach.

Coach Watts brings a championship pedigree and a proven record of success to our basketball program, having led teams to multiple state championships throughout his coaching career. Beyond the wins and trophies, Coach Watts is widely respected for the positive impact he makes on student-athletes as a mentor, leader, and role model.

Coach Watts has built a reputation for developing disciplined, competitive teams while emphasizing accountability, hard work, and leadership both on and off the court. His passion for mentoring young men and preparing them for success in life aligns perfectly with the mission of our athletic department.

Parklane Academy would also like to sincerely thank Coach Alex Ainsworth for his dedication, commitment, and leadership of our basketball program. During his tenure, Coach Ainsworth helped guide our team to a state championship and made a lasting impact on our players both on and off the court.
