Today, we pause as a McClure Mets family to remember and honor a man whose quiet generosity helped make everything we do possible—Jack Wagner.
Since the beginning, Jack graciously allowed our ballfield to exist on his property. That simple act of kindness created a place where generations have gathered—where kids learned the game, friendships were built, and memories were made on the field. The McClure Mets wouldn’t be what we are today without his support.
Jack didn’t just give us a field—he gave our community a home for baseball.
We are deeply grateful for the role he played in shaping this team and this town. His legacy lives on every time a player steps onto that field, every cheer from the stands, and every moment shared between teammates, families, and friends.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. As the McClure Bean Soup Fair so beautifully said, may they find solace and peace, and may they always cherish the memories they shared with him.
Rest easy, Jack. You made a lasting difference, and you will never be forgotten. ⚾
