Henry is a 1.5-year-old Cockapoo looking for his forever home! ❤️
This sweet boy is cuddly, affectionate, and eager to please, and he has so much love to give his people.
Henry is currently being fostered in McCall, Idaho, where he is living with me (a professional dog trainer). We are actively working with him on resource guarding, and he is making progress. Because of this behavior, Henry would do best in a single-dog household with experienced owners who understand that building trust, managing resources, and continuing his training will be important.
I am also happy to work with Henry’s new family to help them understand his behavior and continue the training plan so they can set him up for success.
Henry is looking for someone who will give him patience, consistency, structure, and—of course—lots of cuddles. 🥰

From countless miles on the trail to years of dedicated service as my Search and Rescue partner, you’ve always been by my side with unwavering loyalty, heart, and determination. Now, in your well-earned retirement, you’ve traded long deployments for leisurely hikes, sunshine naps, and stopping to smell every wildflower. 🌼⛰️
Thank you for every adventure, every search, every lesson, and every tail wag. You’ve made the world a better place for so many people—and you’ve made my world infinitely brighter.

✨ This right here is why I spend so much time training trail etiquette and reliable recalls.
Being able to stop, watch, and truly enjoy a moment like this with my dogs by my side—instead of worrying about them chasing after the elk—is worth every minute of training.
A solid recall isn’t just about obedience. It’s about safety, protecting wildlife, respecting other trail users, and giving your dog more freedom because they’ve earned it. 🐕🦌
Moments like these are the payoff. ❤️

🐾 VCSAR K-9 Response Team: Working Hard & Having Fun! 🐶
Training never stops for our incredible VCSAR K-9 teams! Every exercise strengthens the bond between handler and K-9, sharpens lifesaving skills, and prepares us for the moments when our community needs us most.
Of course, it’s not all work—our four-legged partners know how to have fun too! Play is an important part of training, building confidence, motivation, and the strong teamwork that makes these K-9s so effective in the field.

🐾 What a fantastic weekend of learning for our VCSAR K-9 teams at the Area and HRD seminars!
A heartfelt thank you to Amity Larsen and Gail Collins for sharing their expertise, creativity, and exceptional instruction. From challenging problem setups to valuable training insights, our teams gained new skills, strengthened their abilities, and came away with plenty of ideas to incorporate into future training.
We appreciate the time, knowledge, and dedication you both brought to the seminars. Thank you for helping our handlers and K-9s continue to grow and succeed!

🌟 Ember and I learned so much at our HRD seminar this past weekend! 🐾
A huge thank you to Amity Larsen for her creativity, thoughtful problem-solving setups, and excellent instruction throughout the seminar. The challenges were engaging, educational, and gave us plenty of opportunities to learn and grow as a team.
