🚨OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE McALMONT DAY PLANNING COMMITTEE🚨
After receiving several calls, emails, text messages from local authorities, elected officials, & concerned citizens…The McAlmont Day Planning Committee would like to clarify that the event held this past Saturday was “NOT” affiliated with, sponsored by, associated with, or connected in any way to the Official Annual McAlmont Day Celebration sponsored by Heat Foundation/H.E.A.T. Inc.
For the past 22 years, the Official Annual McAlmont Day Celebration has been proudly held in the McAlmont community off Highway 161 and has remained a family-friendly, community-focused event dedicated to honoring our history, preserving our culture, and celebrating our heritage.
Those who know our organization know that the safety of our families, children, seniors, and community members has always been our highest priority. The recent incident does not reflect the values, mission, or standards of the Official Annual McAlmont Day Celebration.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who were injured, affected, or impacted by the unfortunate events that occurred.
The Official Annual McAlmont Day Celebration is formally recognized through proclamations presented to the McAlmont Day Planning Committee/Heat Foundation (H.E.A.T. Inc.) by both the City of North Little Rock and the Pulaski County Quorum Court, acknowledging the event's longstanding contribution to our community.
