David and his son Tom out here doing some crappie fishing on lake eufaula. David was a Guide on Lake Texoma for several years. Some good stories were swapped. Steve and Tim out having some fun on Lake Eufaula! Some mornings, when I shake hands with clients in the parking lot, I have no idea what the day is going to bring. But after spending a day together on the boat, hearing them talk about booking their next guided trip with me and seeing the smiles on their faces means more to me than catching a 4-pound crappie ever could.

We put together a good mess of fish and had plenty of laughs along the way. That’s what it’s all about.

Joe and his dad, Leroy, Reeling up some Lake Eufaula slabs today! The bite was on, and these guys made quick work of their 40-fish limit. They tapped out early, which worked out just fine because Pops was already getting wore out from reeling in all those crappie!

With that low-pressure system moving in, the fish should be in a great mood and ready to bite. If you want to put some fresh fish on the dinner table before the cold weather arrives, now is the time to go.

Jason Perry and his grandson Carson smashing a nice mess of today on Lake Eufaula!

Jason has been fishing with me several times a year for the past 11 years, and we always have a great time. We definitely don’t hold back on the criticism, so Carson is getting broken in the right way—with plenty of good-natured ribbing, laughs, and memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Christina and Tyler, although Tyler stayed camera shy as usual, showing off a few of the 13 bass they caught over 14 inches today!

That cool breeze made for a perfect day on the water as they reeled in bass after bass. All of these fish were caught on a Texas-rigged 7-inch ribbon tail worm. When the water is warm, staying on the move is usually the key to success.

Richard and Kelly joined me on Lake Eufaula for some fall crappie fishing, and despite yesterday’s rain and a breezy north wind, we still put together a good mess of fish!

The third angler, Gertrude, decided her hat hair wasn’t photo-worthy, so she stayed behind the camera. 😂

Thanks, Richard and Kelly, and Gertrude for the laughs and good company. Y’all are an absolute hoot to spend the day with, and I appreciate the opportunity to take y’all fishing.

The fall bite is heating up! I have one opening left this week and three openings next week, so don’t wait to get on the schedule.

Blake and Jeremy put a whooping on some Lake Eufaula slabs today with nonstop action all morning long!

Day two action with Billy, Coleman, Chance, and John on Lake Eufaula! We decided to make a long run and fish a completely different area farther north than my normal route. It was a slow start, but once we landed on them, these boys capitalized on every opportunity and put together a great mess of crappie.

Thank you guys for your repeat business over all these years. I always look forward to our trips. Thick skin is definitely required when you’re rolling with this crew, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Plenty of laughs, good fishing, and great memories made once again.

Billy, his sons Chance and Coleman, and their buddy John laid the 🔨 down on the crappie today on Lake Eufaula! The bite was so good we ran out of minnows by 11:00. Big thanks to Crowder Lakeside for delivering more bait to the dock so we could get right back after them.

Once restocked, they went back to slinging slabs and putting some excellent table fare in the boat. Water temp was 85.7°, and structure is definitely 🔑 right now.

Fall is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to fill the freezer for winter. Get on the schedule now!

Gary and Becky came down to fish Lake Eufaula with D&K Guide Service, and they put some really nice slabs in the boat! They released plenty of smaller “eaters” to grow up for next year.

Thank you both for your time and for trusting me year after year. I truly appreciate your loyalty. We’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly on this lake over the years, and it’s always a pleasure spending time on the water with y’all.

Have a great winter, and I’ll see y’all again next spring!
