True Grit Jiu Jitsu and Defense Martial arts / self defense True Grit Defense is a family friendly learning environment. We are a proud member of the Carlos Machado jiujitsu.

We offer kids, adult Gi/no gi, women’s self defense and law enforcement defense tactics. The gym owners are Jason Null & Tammy John. Jason is a 18 year LE officer and will be coaching jiujitsu classes, women’s self defense and LE defensive tactics. There will be other classes offered at later date like yoga for jiujitsu , simple fitness class. We are now a proud member of the Troy Dorsey kickboxing organization and classes coming August 2022.

The Machado Method Summit was an exceptional weekend experience. Master Carlos Machado and his esteemed group of black belts consistently provide the highest quality training. It was a special weekend to witness Master Machado promoting some of his first black belts and long-time students to coral belt. The kids program led by Master Machado's son, Ray Machado, was impressive. We also received our 5 plus years award from the association. Great times with great people.
