Alpine huts teetering on the edge of big glaciers, long alpine days, warm delicious meals, dessert every night. Oh, and of course getting to ski the most famous traverse in Europe! The stoke was high for our international trips this spring. Huge thanks to our guests who always bring the good vibes.

Ski with us this winter at remote and beautiful Washington Pass! A short snowmobile ride up the spectacular North Cascades Highway will take you to some of the best backcountry ski and splitboarding terrain in the state. Our local guides know the area better than anyone.

Rates include snowmobile rental, use of avalanche safety equipment, and full day ski guiding by an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Come out solo, or get a group of friends together! Whatever you decide, the terrain is well suited for all experienced skiers and the touring opportunities in this zone are plentiful.

It’s hard to even imagine a more beautiful and remote powder paradise than skiing out of Mazama at Washington Pass. Every trip fee with us includes not only professional experienced guiding by local experts, but also your snowmobile rental for accessing this incredible zone (in fact, the journey up the closed highway on the back of a sled can often be an adventure in its own right)! We are booking December through March trips online now and would love to move uphill and ski downhill with you. ⛷️

‼️ AND, if you’re still looking to dial in your avalanche education, this is also the perfect venue for in person classroom learning in our spacious guide building in the heart of Mazama, followed by sled-assisted field days touring up at the pass. ‼️

We currently have space on the following Level 1 Avy courses:

✨ We have just one spot remaining in our Women’s Mentorship Ski Course this winter! We need more women in the mountains and we want you to be one of them! This course is for women who are wanting to grow as backcountry travelers, partners and leaders within the mountain space. This is not just a “hard-skill” crash course, this is a season long space for asking questions, diving deeper and gaining experience through mentorship.

✨ This is a bi-weekly program led by ski guide Sammy Spence ( ) that meets 5 days total, with the option to add custom/private days throughout the season. This long course format provides the opportunity to carve out time to grow and learn in the field, as well as through extra readings, podcasts, and conversation.
