For the operator, the fundamentals of marksmanship and body positioning are more critical than ever, especially when wearing body armor.

Body armor provides vital protection, but it also alters our shooting dynamics. Here’s why mastering the basics is paramount:

1️⃣ Accuracy Matters: Even with armor, precision is key. Proper grip, stance, and sight alignment ensure your shots hit the mark reliably.

2️⃣ Recoil Management: Armor adds weight and bulk, affecting recoil control. Strong fundamentals help maintain control, ensuring rapid follow-up shots.

The old adage “Amateurs train til the get it right… professionals train til@the can’t get it wrong”

Training is a never ending process, you will likely never be perfect.. but you can learn to adapt, overcome, shift at a moments notice…

The more you train and experience new scenarios, you begin to build “file folders” in your mind to call upon when you need them… when you find yourself in a new environment, scenario, or situation that requires problem solving or on demand decisions to make adjustments to performance or the plan.

Much like. Boxer or MMA fighter, the plan changes the minute the bell rings, because the opponent has a say in the conversation as well because they have a plan that isn’t aligned with yours.

As professional shooters or competitors the environment is that “other guy” the stage is that “other guy” the shooting platform is that “other guy “…

The more you train the better suited you are to handled all those “other guys”.. invest in yourself and you will never regret it…
