These new HillBilly Baits and Lures, by The Real Hillbilly are coming along well . They are all hand built and painted . They will be jointed baits for natural action of ah minnow . There is still a lot to go no them but they will be fish catching machines .

Hillbilly is getting busy it the shop . For bout four years I have been building and refining these lures . Small mouth love em as well as many other species of fresh water fish .....These were awesome lures but then I started making them jointed which lead to much more life like action ..... Building ah better bass trap !

What could be going on here at the Hillbilly's work shop ....
Bout 3 years ago I refined ah couple jointed baits that have proven them self's to be quite a productive bait ...
I'm building ah few runs of these baits , I keep y'all posted as to the progress of this run , I'm excited to be building again . They are not a easy build with many hand parts _ but the pay off has been worth it .

Folks been testing out some new baits I designed ( redesigned ) I am in the process of trying to build the better Bass trap . The Tennessee Twitcher a top water floating minnow has on day paid off tremendously , the jointed model will be getting wet tomorrow .... If it pays off as I hope I will be making these baits available soon .

Been working on some new stuff , need some time for the fish test ( so to speak ) the Tennessee Twitcher ( modified ) has been a pay off bait , thus far , catching me a limit of crappie on top water as well as Smallmouth and Largemouth .... That's pretty neat when it was still cold outside .........The jointed bait has been a real pay off bait I started last year and during the Fall months produced fish after fish , it still has a bug or two in it ,,,, but I am working on it ... ☺

BEEN A WHILE , HUH ?
I have take'n a break from the lures for a while , some of the reasons have been personal and others for business . Yesterday and in the near future new equipment has arrived or is scheduled too . A new set up and shop are in the works to put out some baits that are tried an true with more ability to achieve the highest quality in a 100% hand carved , hand painted crankbaits . Even with this being said there will be no assembly line or mass produced baits . Only the passion for fishing , working with wood , and the personal enjoyment of painting lures the OLD SCHOOL way will I turn out any baits , continuing to test and tune every bait before anyone ever ties line to it .
I have some agreements with three local bait shops ( where it materializes or not ) . I have had conversation and gained advice from some of the top builders and plan to follow up with some of there advice .
I look forward to making saw dust in the future .
