Finally able to post a video created from our NVYSL Road Tour on October 13th. Many thanks to Adrian Heinsohn-Roe for volunteering his time and talents to document the day across the towns of Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League. Adrian is a senior at Clinton High School, a former member of a Nashoba Cup winning team and a current USSF Referee! We will also be posting additional photos from that day taken by coaches, parents and Mr Hollinger.

I am so excited to share some pictures of the ways this program has impacted the kids in our towns.
In Berlin, one of our young residents decided that she wanted to help promote Lace Up Program 2018! Chloe Casperson created posters to hang on the Snack Shack at the field and flyers to explain to people what the program is about.
In Clinton, the girls Grade 5/6 team and their coach arrived to pick up their laces to be prepared for October 13th. Chris Bakun manned the donation jar and Coach Sara Bakun helped to distribute the laces at the concession tent.

We now have 4 towns plus a high school JV and Varsity team committed to purchasing laces, with a total of about 500 laces Who else will join us???????

We will have a very talented sports photographer who has volunteered to attend games of teams purchasing laces. Those who order early will have the best chance of having the photographer at your game.

We have an amazing opportunity to be the first Massachusetts Youth Soccer league to participate in this program. We have some of the best pediatric hospitals and cancer hospitals in the country. Nearly 1 in 3 elementary schools in Massachusetts has a child diagnosed with this dreaded disease. Our league is all about the kids..........every kid. Help us reach out to help our neighbors!

So how are we going to do this?????? NVYSL has designated October 13th as Go4theGoal Day when we will LACE UP for Pediatric Cancer Awareness. We are encouraging towns to reach out to their teams and purchase gold laces for their cleats. Laces are available in many lengths and are $5 per pair. We have one town already pledging to purchase laces for every player in their program. What will your town and your teams do?

Here is the news you have been waiting for...... Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer announces it's support of the Go4 theGoal Lace Up project. We will be raising money for local families in need of financial help due to the impact of a child's diagnosis of cancer. This is a very real need. 50% of families who are affected end up declaring bankruptcy due to the additional expenses not covered by even the best insurance. We also will be raising money for much needed research. Important work being done at hospitals in Massachusetts. Keep reading..........
